A critical factor in the success of young people in schools is how well they are able to communicate, with regard both to how they speak and how they listen. Being able to communicate what we feel and think and understand other perspectives is increasingly important in a world where the experiences and solutions to challenges are increasingly shared, and as the tools we use are rapidly evolving as a result of technological developments.
As educators, we can help Cambridge Learners develop their communication skills so that they are able to:
- Use language creatively and effectively, both in speech and in writing
- Listen and respond to the ideas of others to engage in meaningful dialogue
- Think critically and understand a range of perspectives
- Develop their own ideas with confidence
- Respond to new opportunities in a changing world.
We can also help students become aware of the different ways language can be used, and how it can shape our thoughts, identities and how we feel about ourselves. We can help them understand the power of communication to inform, entertain, and connect with others.
In our online conference, we look forward to welcoming teachers and school leaders from all over the world to enjoy a programme including a keynote presentation, in conversation with session and a series of breakouts.
Join us and learn how to help your students communicate effectively and with confidence.
